Dear Patients,  

I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Dr. Farzad Tayari, and I will be providing dental care for you and your families, beginning in February 2022. I look forward to getting to know you all. Dr. Olsen will remain at Malaspina Dental part-time as an associate dentist.

A little about me: I graduated from Shahid Beheshti University, the most well-known dental school in Iran, which is located in the capital city of Tehran. I worked in Iran for almost 8 years, and in 2014 immigrated to Canada. Toronto was my first city of residence . I entered the NDEB( National Dental Examination Board of Canada) equivalency process  and passed all of the exams consecutively, then obtained my NDEB certificate in December 2016 . I moved to Newfoundland in January of 2017, after acquiring a NL dental license, and worked there for 2 years as an locum dentist in both central NL and the capital city, St. John's. in January 2019 I moved back to Ontario, and worked in the greater Toronto area in an associate dentist position for three years. 

In my time off, I enjoy biking, running, and swimming, and spending time with my family, my wife Nasim who is a Naturopathic Physician, and our son, Elvin, who was born in January 2022.  

I am excited to begin the newest phase of my career as a dentist on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I am honoured to have the opportunity to care for you and your families. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions of myself, or the office.
